Virginia's View Challenge #15

Hello June!
How are you, friends? Our NEW monthly challenge is here! Woohoo!
You know that you see it everywhere and it is still so on trend!
We are talking about Ombre/ Monochromatic!

First of all, let's check the definition of these words(from Wikipedia):
Ombré describes the gradual blending of one color hue to another, usually moving tints and shades from light to dark. The technique is commonly seen as a surface treatment in fashion and art. During the early 21st century ombré became a popular feature for hair coloring, nail art, and even baking, in addition to its uses in home decorating and graphic design.

Monochromatic colors are all the colors (tints, tones, and shades) of a single hue.
Monochromatic colour schemes provide opportunities in art and visual communications design as they allow for a greater range of contrasting tones that can be used to attract attention, create focus and support legibility. The use of a monochromatic color provides a strong sense of visual cohesion and can help support communication objectives through the use of connotative colour. The relative absence of hue contrast can be offset by variations in tone and the addition of texture.

I hope the definitions are as clear as a bell to you. In order to keep the theme simple and fun, you can enter either theme: monochromatic or ombre or both!

Here is my interpretation with this challenge:Mr. & Mrs.
I used the sequins and painstakingly hand-stitched each and every sequin. I highly recommend that you do this while you are in a long car ride (not while driving!), waiting for appointments....or even watching TV! It is so rewarding and well worth the effort!

My 2nd card is loosely based on the following Ombre trend.
 (Ombre Love from Pinterest)

I chose to have multiple colors for this design. Those we love don't go away...
I stamped and clear-embossed the images. Then comes the fun part...I took out all of my Distress Inks and inked up the background with shades of blue, purple, yellow and orange. The water droplets were a mixture of Perfect Pearl and water. Easy peasy!

Please feel free to interpret the Ombre and/or Monochromatic theme  however you like. It is strongly suggested that you stretch your creativity and challenge yourself to do something different. There is no limit as to how many entries you can enter.

This monthly card-making challenge blog will run till the 18th (11:55pm Eastern Time) and there will be a SPOTLIGHT feature of Top 10 Favorites on the 25th. Any style and all levels are most welcome! You can read more about the challenge guidelines at the bottom of the page. Among the Top 10 Fav, there will be a random draw for a lucky (and talented) winner who will then receive the top prize. In order to qualify for the top prize, your project has to be NEW (not linked back to a previously made project). You are welcome to combine other challenges, but please limit your total number of challenges to no more than 4.

Our Sponsor: Simon Says Stamp

Our Top Winner (randomly selected from Top 10 Favorites) will receive a $25 voucher!
  AWESOME, eh?!
